The LADARVision 4000 uses state-of-the-art technology to achieve the widest range of FDA-approvals in nearsightedness, farsightedness and astigmatism. By incorporating LADARTracker™ active eye tracking capabilities, LADARVision 4000 excimer laser system can provide superior precision to your LASIK laser vision correction procedure.
Only the LADARVision 4000 by Alcon has expanded FDA claims for improved accuracy in corneal shaping. By using a fine laser beam smaller than the width of a human hair (less than 1mm in width), the LADARVision 4000 allows corneal tissue to be removed in small, gradual increments for a superior, smoother reshaping.
LADARVision®, powered by radar technology developed for NASA, was the first FDA-approved system with active eye tracking that ensures accurate placement of the small-spot laser. Although other laser systems have since developed eye-tracking systems, LADARVision® is the only one using laser radar- tracking technology, a system that measures eye movement 4,000 times per second and is capable of following involuntary eye movements, regardless of how rapid or erratic they may be
CUSTOMCORNEA® LADARVISION SYSTEM
CustomCornea was the first LASIK procedure FDA-approved to provide a fully customized treatment for your vision, addressing higher-order aberrations that had previously gone undetected. The LADARWave® wavefront device is used to create a wavefront map of each eye, capturing the unique combination of higher and lower-order aberrations present in your optical system.
The resulting Wavefront Map for each eye is then placed into the excimer laser system, and converted to a guide for the laser. The result is a Wavefront Customized LASIK treatment. At German Eye Clinic Laser Center, 95% of nearsighted patients who undergo WaveFront Customized IntraLASIK achieve 20/20 vision or better!
Now, with the CustomCornea LADARVision 4000 system, laser vision correction is available for more than 90 percent of the nearsighted population, but also for population with hyperopia or astigmatismus.
